Mayor: Another 1-2 Weeks for JCP&L Answers

Residents still waiting for responses from Nov. 21 meeting.

Responses from Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) to Washington Township residents regarding poor response and action from two major weather disasters won't be available for another one or two weeks, according to Mayor Ken Short.

The representatives tried to address the problems residents faced in the form of power outages as a result of and an that dumped a foot of snow on the area.

At the time, Short said that answers to the questions posed to the company would be available to residents in approximately two weeks.

Short said he had received a list of questions from the company on Wednesday, to which he added another half dozen on Dec. 2.

The mayor said he anticipates the final answers to be available within one to two weeks. The results will be available on township web site and will be reported on Long Valley Patch.
