Twp. Officials to Talk Senior Housing Expansion

Student awards set for Monday night at West Morris Central High School.

The first major rain storm of the hurricane season is behind us, drenching Washington Township for more than 24 hours straight last week.

The work week kicks off with the annual senior awards at West Morris Central High School Monday night at 7 p.m. The event gives accolades, awards and scholarships to superlative soon-to-be graduates.

A major meeting this week takes place Wednesday night, as the Washington Township Committee meets at the municipal building.

The governing body will hold a joint session with the planning board

Following the joint discussion, topics to be probed include hunting licenses, summer help for the police department, and the hosting of a Morris County Board of Freeholders meeting.

The session is open to the public and begins at 7:30 p.m.
