Middle, High School Grads Recognized by Women's Club

Twelve West Morris Central and Long Valley Middle School graduates received scholarships and awards for outstanding work.

The crowning achievement for eighth grades and high school seniors – graduation – has come and gone, but the efforts of some will continue on with them in their future education endeavors.

The Long Valley Women’s Club awarded six West Morris Central High School seniors in June for their academic achievements and involvement in extracurricular activities.

The following is a list of the graduates who received scholarships and where they’re heading for college.

  • Erik Elsasser, University of Deleware
  • Amy Whittemore, Virginia Tech
  • Alexis Kalmus, University of South Carolina
  • Caitlin Hoehlein, University of Deleware
  • Edanna Guaimano, Centenary College
  • Daniella Coradini, Loyala University 

“Overall Most Effort Awards” were also given to six eighth graders preparing for high school. The award was issued to students who demonstrated consistent dedication to their academic studies and constant striving for continued success.

Those students are: Emily McGee; Evan Van De Wal; Jaylene Perez; Patrick Egan; Maya Higgs; and Mackenzie Schade.
