Washington Township endured its first heat wave of the year, and it was quite apropos considering the start of summer is upon us as well.

Locally, said goodbye to yet another graduating class, as 324 seniors received their diplomas on Wednesday. Of course, Long Valley Patch was there to cover the event.

Earlier this week we learned about male model currently living in Long Valley. He keeps quiet when he’s around town, but has been part of Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger advertisements as well as national commercials.

Fire kicks off hot week

The  responded to a car fire Monday night and was able to put the blaze out before anyone was injured. But the car didn’t do too well. . And to find out what was going on

That same day, the fire department was recognized for honoring a pledge to stay safe when responding to calls by wearing seatbelts.
