LV Baseball Team Captures Ridge Tourney Title

Youngsters dominate week-long championship run.

The Long Valley 11U travel baseball team won its first season title on Wednesday July, 4 in the Basking Ridge Independence Day Tournament after beating Ridge–South 5-3 and winning five games overall in the tournament. 

Long Valley impressively defeated their opponents with a combined total of 58 runs scored while only allowing seven runs throughout the week-long tournament.

Coached by Larry Goldberg, Dave Kennedy, Chance Healy and Mark Blount, the 11U championship team is made up of Christian Yousseff, Jake Ligos, Collin Bridges, Aidan Healy, Zach Miller, Dylan Goldberg, Matthew Blount, Kevin Kennedy, Bobby Mrasz, Jake Werth, Braden Willsey, Anthony Grauso and Kieran Gruby.

The team will also be competing in tournaments in Allentown, Pa. and Cape May, New Jersey over the next month.
