The West Morris Central fencing teams competed in a dual meet at Hunterdon Central Thursday night, and the boys and girls had mixed results.
The boys team beat Hunterdon Central 14-13. Junior Epee Dan Mauro clinched the victory bout in the third round, 5-0.
The girls team lost to 7-20. Freshman Elina Cheng, sabre, had a successful evening fencing 2-0. Epee Junior Ally Ray went 2-1. Freshman Foilist, Anna Staropoli, went 1-0. Senior Foilist, Courtney Dietsche, went 2-1. She beat Tracey Napoli in the second round, 5-1. According to the Star Ledger's athlete biographies, Tracey was undefeated until her bout against Dietsche.
