You Need a Festival: The 3rd annual Kevin M. Walsh Fireworks Festival is set for Saturday, Aug. 25 at 5 p.m. behind the . Last year’s event was , and weather pending, this one will see thousands of spectators. .

You Need to Tromp: The 3rd Annual Columbia Trail Tromp–a Memorial for Bill Harrington, Sr.–will hit the trail on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 7 a.m. The fundraisers will benefit pancreatic cancer research and awareness. Participants will run, walk and bike down the Columbia Trail. .

You Need Some Bike and Brew: As they’ve been doing on Thursdays throughout the summer, Living Adventure Tours is hosting a weekly Bike & Brew to Historic Brewery at 6:15 p.m. Thursday. The event kicks off at the Long Valley Pub & Brewery, rides along the Columbia Trail, then heads back for beer and socializing. .

You Need Goals: The West Morris Regional Board of Education will hold its regular meeting Monday night at Mendham High School at 7 p.m. On the agenda is a presentation by Superintendent Mackey Pendergrast explaining the district’s goals for 2012-13. The meeting is open to the public and all are welcomed to attend.
