Election Day, Impact of Recent Crime Ahead This Week

November kicks off with a bang rather than a whimper, so let’s take a look at what’s going on around town. 

Tuesday is a big one for the state of New Jersey, as the General Election – including the races for governor, town officials, and school boards – will have polls open for 14 hours.

Have you noticed the influx of police reports on Long Valley Patch lately? We’re not digging for dirt, and the police aren’t deciding to give up more information than usual.

It seems there’s a bit of increase in crime in town lately, and we’ll be speaking with our local police to find out why they think cars and homes are being broken into more frequently. Keep an eye out for that story later in the week.
