Fire, First Aid Budgets Get a Look This Week

West Morris Regional board of education meets Monday night.

Before the week can wind down into a romantic Valentine’s Day weekend (did you make your reservations yet?), there’s plenty going on around town you should be aware of. Let’s take a look.

On Monday, the West Morris Regional Board of Education will hold its monthly regular meeting at 7 p.m. at Mendham High School. The agenda has a slew of activity, including a change to the calendar and the acceptance of multiple resignations at the end of the school year.

It’s the first meeting since the board inaugurated new members Brian Cavanaugh and Gary Lakritz, the latter who was selected as the body’s president.

As the week rolls on, Washington Township’s Committee will have a busy couple of days. On Tuesday, the governing body meets at the Senior Center at Rock Spring Park at 6 p.m. to discuss budget implications for the Washington Township Fire and First Aid squads. The meeting is open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.

The next night, at 7:30 p.m., the governing body will meet at the municipal building for its regular work session. On the agenda are a few items for discussion, including a municipal building generator and publicly recognizes township employees.
